Mountain Camp Darkness

Sometime in Mid-April we plan to hike to the top of Blue Mountain, and choose a loacation for Camp Darkness. Our initial hike is to locate a ideal location where we can build fire pits, and clear out plots for tents. Our second task is to survey the summit and make plans for a general clean up. We purchased topological maps last week in Montreal, and would like to use the maps to loacate a lake indicated on the mountain.

Trip to the Science Center

Wednesday April 5th, 2006 We took a trip to Montreal, we began by taking the train from the Two Mountains station. The train left the station at 8:05 am, and arrived about 45 minutes later in downtown Montreal at Gare Centrale, or Centeral Station. We then began the long walk to the OldPort, the day was windy, and had quite a bite to it, the cold really cut into you as you walked the old cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, with the only reprieve coming from the occasional sunshine that made it's way int tohe darkened alley ways. When we arrived at the Science Center, at about about 9:00am, we bought our tickets to the Imax movie Safari 3D, which began at 10:00am. We wandered among the echibits on the top floor and tried some of the interactive stations that they had. The place was crawling with elementary school students, we deftly avoided the ankle biters and maed ouur way around the room. We dispatched ambulances, worked a robotic arm, and started a combution engine usingthe correct sequence.
