Hobgoblin is a marvel guy who also has powers but he wasn't born with them. Hobgoblin uses a modified version of the original goblin formula used by Norman Osbourn, Kingsley acquired superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and reflexes.
Gambit is an x-men charector who has the powers. Gambit could change inimate objects with energy, causing them to explode or to levitate for brief periods of time. He is a good marksman with throwing objects.
If these two guys were to fight i would have my money on Gambit, because he has the natural powers, so he has the uper hand and he was born with them. On the other hand Hobgoblin has formula's and pumpkin bombs. Gambit would kick hob goblins ass
